Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of Discovery Learning model to the critical thinking ability of class VII SMP Ash-Solihin Kota Depok.  The method used is an experiment that uses the Quasy experiment design, where there are experimental classes and control classes. Samples used as much as 60 students, consisting of 30 students who were given the Discover Learning model on the experimental class and 30 students who were given discussion models in the control class. Test the data requirements used are test normality and homogeneity testing. Based on the results of data analysis using test-t calculations obtained the results that t_hitung greater than t_tabel at a significant level of 5%. So it gained a conclusion that the average student math critical thinking ability given the Discovery Learning model was higher than the average student's math critical thinking ability given the discussion model.
