Abstract

The faster the development of modern times, as today, many people compete to increase the development of the building wall industry. As we know, many new innovations in walls have emerged with the concept of light, environmentally friendly and efficient processing time and of course by giving priority to strength and comfort and work safety. The following is an example of what we are developing today, using Styrofoam granulate as a substitute for some coarse and fine aggregates in the manufacture of Styrofoam concrete panel walls. The aim of this study is to investigate the walls of hollow styrofoam plates with wire mesh reinforcement and the addition of 50% fly ash mixture, the walls used are 122 x 40 x 12 cm. The use of polystyrene foam for panel walls with a variation of 50% and 60%, for the addition of 50% fly ash as a cement substitute. The results of the study of Styrofoam concrete panels at the age of 90 days with 50% and 60% Styrofoam variations showed a decrease in load and deflection. The value obtained when the styrofoam addition was 50% was 6500 N / mm with a deflection value of 8.0 mm and a maximum load maintained at 7500 N / mm with a deflection value of 9.5 mm. While in 60% Styrofoam the initial crack was obtained with a value of 5800 N / mm with a deflection value of 5 mm and a maximum load obtained of 7400 N / mm with a deflection of 7 mm.
