E-PKL untuk Otomatisasi Pendaftaran dan Pemantauan Kegiatan Praktek Kerja Lapangan Mahasiswa dengan Metode Prototype Berbasis Web
Abstract
The registration and management of student internships (Praktek Kerja Lapangan or PKL) in government institutions are often conducted manually, making them prone to data recording errors and delays in information dissemination. This study aims to design and implement a web-based information system to support a more efficient and structured PKL administrative process at the Department of Communication, Informatics, and Statistics of Brebes Regency. The system was developed using the prototype method, a software development approach that emphasizes early modeling of the intended application. The resulting system enables administrators to manage participant data, track attendance, monitor daily activities, and generate digital reports. Students, as users, are also able to log their activities, update their profiles, and print reports directly from the system. The implementation results show that the system effectively streamlines workflow, reduces administrative errors, and improves data accessibility for all stakeholders. The system interface is designed to be user-friendly, facilitating easy navigation and usage for both administrators and interns. Overall, this system successfully addresses the need for a practical, efficient, and accessible digital solution for internship management
