Abstract

The Department of Communication, Informatics and Statistics (Dinkominfotik) of Brebes Regency requires an information system that is able to present road and bridge data spatially, interactively and easily accessible to support the planning process and infrastructure decision-making. The problem faced is the limited presentation of geospatial data which is still conventional and has not been integrated into a digital system. This study aims to design and implement a Web-Based Geographic Information System (WebGIS) that displays road and bridge information visually. The method used is prototyping, which allows the system to be tested and improved gradually. The implementation results show that the WebGIS that was built is able to present infrastructure data effectively through interactive map features and detailed displays of roads and bridges. The use of the prototyping method has succeeded in producing a system that is in accordance with user needs and supports efficient geospatial data management.
