Abstract

In this modern era, the world of education is challenged to keep up with the times. Besides that, the impact of the pandemic is that teaching and learning activities that were previously offline have become online. So teachers and students need to adapt to the use of technology. But there are still many obstacles faced by teachers and students, especially students with autism. The big change for teachers is to provide learning using digital media for autistic students who previously taught shibori practice directly without using any digital media-based learning media. The purpose of this study was conducted to determine the readiness of teachers in using digital media-based learning media for students with autism. The research was conducted at the London School Beyond Academy, Jakarta. The type of research used in this study is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques namely distributing questionnaires and interviews. The results of this study show that teacher readiness in using digital media-based learning media is very important in the shibori learning process for autistic students. 10 teachers became respondents in this study. There are 80% of teachers are ready to use digital-based learning media for students with autism, but there are 20% of teachers are not ready. Teacher unpreparedness is due to several reasons such as signal availability, students' and teachers' understanding of technology, and student's abilities.
