The background of the problem in this study is that the teacher's assessment is only based on time records,
which should consider 3 aspects: affective, cognitive and psychomotor. The purpose of this study was to
determine the increase in learning outcomes of short distance running with the SOS Run game approach in
class X SMA Laboratory UPGRIS. The research method used is a quantitative research method with an
experimental method approach. The research design used a pretest and posttest control group with a
population of 24 students and a sample of 23 students with data collection techniques, namely observation, test
and treatment.
The results of this study indicate that the results of this study can be seen that there is an increase in the
average value of the pretest and posttest, namely from 77.4 for the average pretest value and 90 for the
posttest average value. Then it is known that the significance value (2-tailed) is 0.000 < 0.05, so it can be
concluded that there is an increase in learning outcomes for short distance running through the SOS Run
approach to Class X Students of SMA Laboratory of PGRI Semarang University on pretest and posttest data
by 13%. Suggestions for future researchers, it is hoped that further research can develop more innovative
game methods and increase the number of samples so that the research results are more varied.
