ANALISIS MINAT BERWIRAUSAHA MAHASISWA PROGRAM STUDI PENDIDIKAN EKONOMI UNIVERSITAS PGRI SEMARANG

Abstract

This research is motivated by the rapidly increasing competition in the world of labor, inversely proportional to the availability of jobs, making the unemployment rate in Indonesia still high. Unemployment is currently growing. In relation to the quality of human resources, education is considered as a means to improve the quality of human resources itself. Good education is expected to provide good human resources as well. The more developed a country, the more educated people, and the soul of job seekers is increasing day by day, not comparable to the soul of forming jobs. However, in reality today, many students who have graduated do not work in accordance with the existing fields or the learning they have learned during lectures. The formulation of the problem in this study is what are the factors that influence the entrepreneurial interest of students in the economic education study program at the University of PGRI Semarang.

This study uses a qualitative approach, a population of 8 students of economic education at PGRI Semarang University, then conducted interviews. The results of this study are (1) Family encouragement has an important role in growing interest in entrepreneurship. (2) Self-motivation has an important role in fostering interest. (3) The community environment also affects the interest in entrepreneurship.
