Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of the thunder jumping game model in improving squatting long jump skills. This study departs from students who are less interested in long jump squat style and lack of media on learning the squat long jump style causes students to choose other sports thus reducing motivation in the learning process of long jump squatting. The type of research used is quantitative. The design of this study uses a pre-post test design experiment. The sample in this study were all students of class V of State Elementary School 03 Geneng with 15 students. The results of further data analysis showed the average pre-test score of this study was 63.0. Then the post-test results after the learning process using the mine jump game model increased by 75.7. This is supported by the results of different t-tests that show that the significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. This means that there is an increase in the long jump results of students of class V of State School 03 Geneng through a significant mine jumping game. The conclusion of this study has the influence of the use of the mine jumping game model. So the advice on this study is expected to be more varied physical education teachers in the exercise model used to improve long jumping skills with squatting style.
