This research was motivated by student anxiety about the importance of a physical fitness survey for an athlete, especially a volleyball athlete because a volleyball athlete needs excellent physical fitness. The purpose of this study was to describe the physical fitness survey of the Mitra Kencana Kedungmundu Volleyball Club athletes, Semarang City.
This research uses descriptive quantitative research with a survey approach and TKJI testing techniques. The population in this study were the athletes of the Mitra Kencana Kedungmundu volleyball club, Semarang City. The sampling mechanism in this study is purposive sampling, this technique is based on a specific purpose. The sample in this study was the athletes of the Mitra Kencana Kedungmundu volleyball club, Semarang City, aged 16-19 years. In this study, the physical fitness level measurement test will use the 2010 TKJI for children aged 16-19 years. The information examination procedure utilized in this exploration is quantitative spellbinding investigation withpercentages.
The results showed that based on physical fitness tests carried out on 15 athletes of the Mitra Kencana Kedungmundu Volleyball Club, Semarang City, aged 16-19 years, the results were 1) The speed test with a 60-meter run showed that 8 people or 53.3% got the criteria. good. 2) Tests for strength and perseverance of the armand shouldermuscles by hanging and lifting the for 60 seconds showed that 8 people or 53.3% received moderate criteria. 3) Abdominal muscle strength and endurance test by lying down and sitting for 60 seconds showed 10 people or 66.6% getting very good criteria. 4) Explosive power or explosive power test with vertical jumps showed that 9 people or 60% received moderate criteria. 5) Cardiac, circulatory and respiratory endurance tests by running 1200 meters showed 10 people or 66.6% getting moderate criteria. The physical fitness of the athletes of the Mitra Kencana Volleyball Club, Kedungmundu, Semarang City is in the moderate category, because of the five TKJI tests (Indonesian Physical Fitness Test) there is 1 test that gets very good criteria, 1 test that gets good criteria and 3 tests that get moderate criteria.
The conclusion of this study is that the physical fitness of the athletes of the Mitra Kencana Kedungmundu Volleyball Club in Semarang City is quite good. The advice given is that this research can provide a clearer and clearer picture of the physical condition of the athletes of the Mitra Kencana Kedungmundu Volleyball Club, Semarang City, so that in the future it is hoped that the trainer concerned can provide an appropriate training program according to the athlete's condition, in order to obtain the results according to the planned targets.
