Abstract

This type of research is quantitative using the pre-experimental design method in a 2x2 factorial design (Irawan, Irfan, 2017:74). With the total sampling technique, the sample amounted to 30 students. Data collection techniques with pretest, treatment, posttest. The data collection instrument uses a vertical jump test and a smash ability test (Endang et al, 2019:86,103). Research result. The t-test value for the effect of plyometric front box jump exercise on leg muscle power sig. (0.007) < (0.05) and obtained tcount of (-3.719) > ttable value (2.36462) which means that there is an effect of front plyometric exercise box jump on leg muscle power, t test for the effect of front box jump plyometric exercise on volleyball smash ability, sig. (0.007) < (0.05) and obtained tcount of (-3,742) > ttable (2, 36462) which means that there is an effect of front box jump plyometric training on volleyball smash ability, t test for the effect of depth jump plyometric training on leg muscle power sig. (0.010) > (0.05) and obtained tcount of (-3.750) > ttable (2.44691) which means that there is an effect of plyometric depth jump on leg muscle power, t-test is for the effect of plyometric depth jump training on ball smash ability volley sig. (0.018) > (0.05) and obtained tcount of (-3,240) ttable (2,44691) which means that there is an effect of depth jump plyometric training on volleyball smash ability. The conclusion is that the plyometric front box jump and depth jump training methods are equally influential in increasing leg muscle power and volleyball smash ability.
