Abstract

The background of the research by the low learning outcomes of students on basketball dribbling material because learning is not optimal. The purpose of this research is to find out the effectiveness of the problem based learning model to improve basketball dribbling learning outcomes in class XI SMA Negeri 1 Mayong. This study uses a pre-experimental design with the type of One-Group Pretest-posttest Design. The population is all students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Mayong. The sample of this research is class XI IPS 2 SMA Negeri 1 Mayong. Test and non-test data collection techniques. The tests in this study were validity tests, reliability tests, level of problem difficulty and discriminatory power. The analysis technique in this study uses normality test data, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing.

The results obtained that the use of probelm based learning learning model is effective on basketball dribbling learning outcomes in class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Mayong. This is from the calculation of hypothesis testing using the paired sample t test obtained a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05, and an increase in the average mean of 18.24%. So it can be concluded that the use of learning models problem based learning learning model is effective on basketball dribbling learning outcomes for students. Suggestions are expected that the problem-based learning model of students can be more active and follow in learning.
