Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this research is to know the efficiency of the model of project based
learning in increase the ability of the creative thinking of students. This research is held in
SMA Kesatrian 2 Semarang a long 16 Februari 2019 to 28 Februari 2019. Research design is
the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design involving two variables consist of independent variabel
and dependent variabel. Dependent variable is the creative thinking ability of students and
independent variabel is the model project based learning. The sample used consists of a single
class as saturated samples taken class X MIPA1 as class experiments amounted to 34 students
and the experiment conducted at XI MIPA 2 which amounted to 30 students . Data collection
techniques used are test, a non test in the form of documentation. The used of the research
instrument is an essay test. The result of the research shows the students pre-test that obtain the
score 45,11 on the average, where is the result of the post-test are 77,53 on the average which
the average score of gain trial normalized amount 0,59 in medium category. The result of  thitung = 12,32 and ttabel = 1,69, which mean
