Indonesia is currently implementing the 2013 curriculum, where the learning activities should be centered to the students. In the 2013 curriculum, one of the skill that should be exercised by the students is critical thinking. This research investigates the student’s critical thinking skill using an activity in graph vertex coloring. The research is a descriptive study of five students. The result of the study is that the students are able to think critically with the test scores of 89.1. Based on the interview with the students, the students confess that this activity is able to improve their skill in working carefully, analyzing, and creating.
