Peningkatan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Matematis melalui Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning Berbantu Kuis Interaktif Wordwall pada Siswa Kelas III

This study aims to improve the mathematical critical thinking skills of third-grade elementary school students through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model supported by interactive Wordwall quizzes. The background of the study is the low level of students' critical thinking abilities in geometry material, as indicated by a pre-cycle average score of 59.29 with only 28.57% of students meeting the minimum competency criteria. This classroom action research was conducted in two cycles involving 28 students of class III B at SDN Sendangmulyo 02 Semarang. Data were collected through essay tests and observations. The results showed a significant improvement in students' mathematical critical thinking skills. The average score increased from 59.29 (pre-cycle) to 61.25 (cycle I) and 83.04 (cycle II). The percentage of students achieving mastery also increased from 28.57% (pre-cycle) to 46.43% (cycle I), and 82.14% (cycle II). Observational data indicated improved student engagement and critical thinking, with scores rising from 39% in the pre-cycle to 82% in cycle II. These results demonstrate that the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Wordwall quizzes effectively enhances students’ mathematical critical thinking skills.
