Peningkatan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Menggunakan Model Problem Based Larning Berbantuan Media Papan Diagram Gambar (PADIGA) Kelas 2 SD

This study aims to improve the mathematical problem-solving ability of Grade 2B students at SD Supriyadi 02 Semarang through the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by the use of diagram board media. The main issue identified was the students' low ability to solve mathematical problems, particularly in interpreting and presenting data in pictograph diagrams. This classroom action research (CAR) used the Kemmis and Taggart model and was carried out in two cycles. The research subjects were 26 students of Grade 2B. The instruments used included observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The results showed that in the pre-cycle stage, only 50% of students met the minimum mastery criteria (KKM), with an average score of 72.69. After the first cycle, student mastery improved to 65% with an average score of 81.53. In the second cycle, significant improvement was observed, with 92% of students achieving the KKM and an average score of 91.15. The implementation of the PBL model, combined with the diagram board media, proved to be effective in enhancing students’ mathematical problem-solving skills and active participation during the learning process. Therefore, this approach is recommended as an alternative learning strategy for mathematics in lower primary education.
