Abstract

This study aims to improve Indonesian language learning outcomes in writing brochures and announcements using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by "Froggy Jump" media for fifth-grade students at SDN Sendangmulyo 02. The background of the research is the low student learning outcomes, with a pre-cycle average score of 55.71 and a classical completion rate of only 21.43%. The study employs Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles with planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects were 28 students. The results show significant improvement after implementing PBL with "Froggy Jump" media. In Cycle I, the average score increased to 63.9 (39.29% completion), and in Cycle II, it reached 72.85 (67.86% completion). Besides enhancing learning outcomes, this model also boosted student motivation, engagement, and problem-solving skills. Thus, it is concluded that PBL assisted by "Froggy Jump" effectively improves Indonesian language learning outcomes in writing brochures and announcements for fifth graders.
